Vancouver holds an impressive “We Want SM TOWN!” flashmob

The city of Vancouver experienced a sudden surge of K-Pop love on August 27th, as a huge flashmob descended on Granville Street to perform dance covers of their favorite songs from SM Entertainment!
Their mission was to show SM that Vancouver was hungry for an ‘SM TOWN Live’ concert, and so this dedicated group rehearsed for two months to nail every move.
Performing songs from BoA, Super Junior, SNSD, f(x), SHINee, and TVXQ, the Canadians impressed with their passion and ability to have fun in the face of pressure.

Boom’s ‘Strong Heart’ teaser leaves viewers highly anticipative for next week’s show

SBS’s “Strong Heart” gave fans a hilarious teaser of Boom’s return on next week’s show.
Although the teaser was short, it’s apparent that he hadn’t let his variety skills rust during his time away in the military.
Before entering the military in 2009, Boom created the “Boom Academy” which lead to the very popular “Leeteuk Academy“  consisting of Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk. Now the original creator of the segment is back, and his wit seems sharper than ever!
Aside from “Strong Heart”, netizens are also anticipating Boom’s appearance on SBS’s “Star King” and SBS’s radio power FM’s “Young street” as a DJ.

New girl group April Kiss releases debut single, “Wannabe”

New girl group April Kiss kicked off their debut by dropping their very first single, “Wannabe“, on September 1st!
Comprised of six members — Soomin, Kuji, Haejeun, Sara, Julie, and Shiho –, April Kiss have been described as the female counterpart to hot idol group, 2PM.
Their agency, Andy Bros, stated, “All of the members have refreshing looks and tall, lean bodies. They can not only pull off impressive performances, but are also highly talented in the areas of dancing, singing, and rapping. Their average height records at 173 cm, so all six members have beautiful long legs that will surely bring joy to those watching them.”
They continued, “They all promoted in different areas before coming together under the mutual dream of becoming singers. They’ve undergone severe training ranging from three to five years. Although they’re a female girl group, they’re capable of a performance style like 2PM’s.”

SNSD fans send 100kg of rice to Tiffany to celebrate debut role in ‘Fame’

SNSD fans have sent a congratulatory rice wreath in celebration of Tiffany’s first musical!
On August 30th, SNSD fan cafe Hwasoo Eunhwa sent a congratulatory rice wreath to welcome Tiffany to the world of musicals. Tiffany was recently cast to play ‘Carmen Diaz’ in the musical, “Fame“.
On the pink ribbons, fans left a message which read, “Good luck musical actress Hwang Mi Young [Tiffany's Korean name]! SNSD fan cafe Hwasoo Eunhwa”. The fans had sent 100kg of rice.
Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Go Eun Sung also received these wreaths from their fans.

Girl’s Day’s Jihae to make her big screen debut through ‘Sound City’

On September 1st, DreamT Entertainment revealed that Girl’s Day’s Jihae will be making her big screen debut through director Kim Moon Heum’s upcoming film, ‘Sound City‘!
The 100-minute movie contains a total of 10 episodes, and Jihae will play the leading female role for one of them. The movie is a thriller that centers around the various happenings of a city that looks calm and collected from the outside.
Filming begins on September 2nd, and Jihae will work alongside co-stars like Kim Suk Hoon, Seo Young Hee, Lee Ki Young, Jo Sung Ha, An Kil Kang, Jang Aeri, and other talented artists.
Jihae said, “It’s my first time acting in a movie so I’m nervous but I’m also glad and excited for it.  I’ll do my best so that I can also be called ‘movie star Jihae.’”
