Changmin sweats it out during his reserve army training

2AM‘s Changmin shared a shot of his experience during his reserve army training recently on Twitter.
Changmin tweeted, “Ah finished! Why were the sun’s rays so hot today? But! It’s worth it. National defense duty this year is clear,” expressing his good attitude concerning the upkeep training. He also posted a photo of himself in his full soldier’s uniform along with a military-issued blanket marked by his army title.
Fans commented, “Of course, military-dol! You’re so cool,” “It looks really hot. You worked hard,” and, “You look more handsome wearing your army outfit.”

Kara talks about vanity on ‘Hello’

On September 26th, KBS 2TVHello‘ featured girl group, KARA, revealing a new side of the girls with a few interesting questions.
MC Lee Young Ja caught the audience’s attention by asking, “Who cares about their appearance the most?
Immediately, fellow member Han Seung Yeon pointed at Gyuri, and Shin Dong Yup commented, “Hmm..looks like Gyuri reluctantly chose Hara…” causing everyone to explode in laughter.
In addition, Goo Hara who got picked by Gyuri shared, “When I first met Gyuri unnie, her visage was very unique.  I was really surprised by her beauty.”
Furthermore, the show featured unique guests who all underwent extraordinary experiences.  One female revealed that she took over 100 auditions to become a celebrity while another talked about her conservative father who is picky about what she wears.  She confessed that she must wear long clothing even during the hot summer.

Kara’s “Winter Magic” jacket covers released

With their fifth Japanese single Winter Magic coming up, Kara has begun revealing bits and pieces of the impending release, starting with a variety of jacket covers and solo photos that fans will be sure to love!
The album’s tracklist has been confirmed to feature four tracks in total: “Winter Magic”, “Whisper” and the instrumental tracks for both. The physical release will be sold in three different sets with three different jacket covers: A has a CD & DVD, B has a CD & photo book, and C has a CD with a “Christmas version” of “Winter Magic” as a bonus track.
In edition, solo photos of each member were revealed online, showing off the ladies’ elegant beauty.

Hwanhee to begin follow-up promotions with “So You Don’t Know”


Singer Hwanhee has revealed that he recently completed filming his movie in Japan and is now preparing to begin his follow-up promotions.
A representative of his agency stated, “Hwanhee will be returning to Korea on September 29th. Starting with ‘Music Bank’ on the 30th, he’ll begin promoting ‘So You Don’t Know‘ from his first album.”
Hwanhee was promoting his title track, “I Feel Like I’m Going to Die“, before he left for Japan on September 14th to film for his movie ‘Star‘.  Unfortunately, due to weather conditions in Japan, his film schedule was delayed for several days, and eventually resumed on the 22nd.
His follow-up track, “So You Don’t Know”, was produced by Lee Sang In and is a ballad track that features a soft piano melody.  The song is arranged in a unique way so that it feels like he’s singing for that one special listener.
After concluding his promotions, he’ll be going back to film for his movie. “We think it’ll take about one or two more weeks for Hwanhee to focus on getting his film schedule completed,” said his representatives.

ZIA reveals two still-cuts from comeback MV with T-ara’s Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo


Earlier, ZIA announced that her new music video would star popular ’We Got Married‘ coupleT-ara‘s Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo. Following up, she’s revealed some new still-cuts from her comeback MV.
As previously reported, her title track, “I’m Like This“, was produced by composer Jun Hae Sung, who’s created a number of hits for Baek Ji Young, Davichi, and Huh Gak. While her song generated much interest, netizens were more intrigued by the fact that Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo would portray a couple that’s madly in love for her MV.
The two still-cuts revealed today sees the couple sitting side-by-side and in a loving back hug.
ZIA will be releasing her comeback album, “Avancer“, on September 30th.

SNSD auctions off their ‘Woongjin Coway’ outfits and props for charity


On September 27th, SNSD attended a charity auction for single women breadwinners called the ‘Beautiful Auction’ in collaboration with their endorsement brand, ‘Woongjin Coway‘.
‘Woongjin Coway’ came up with the idea of auctioning off the outfits and accessories SNSD wore in their CF to help raise funds for the charity.  The charity aims to support women in building new lives and independence.
The members of SNSD personally autographed the items and posed for reporters next to an autographed water purifier.  Check out photos from the event below!

Kim Kyu Jong releases BTS photos from “Yesterday” MV


After releasing his debut mini-album “Turn Me On” earlier today, SS501‘s Kim Kyu Jong followed up with behind-the-scenes photos from the set of his music video for “Yesterday“.
As he is the last of the SS501 members to finally make his solo debut, fans welcomed his return with open arms. Through “Yesterday”, he completely sheds his idol image with a refined, mature look and a modern style.
With the use of luxury cars and bright lights, the music video showed fans that Kim Kyu Jong could shine just as brightly on his own as with his group.  The unreleased cuts feature the star posing against his music video backdrop, looking deep in thought as he discusses a particular scene with his director.

Dal Shabet was detained in China for a week after losing their visas


Idol group Dal Shabet was detained in China for a week after losing their visas.
On September 18th, the girls left for China to attend an event and were originally scheduled to return on the 20th. Unfortunately, they had lost their visas, which meant they couldn’t leave the country until they could apply for a replacement. The girls assured that there wasn’t anything to worry about, as it was an experience that they will surely never forget.
Dal Shabet will be returning to Korea on September 27th.

‘Protect the Boss’ PD gives a hint about the drama’s ending


PD Son Jung Hyun of SBS‘s ‘Protect the Boss‘ recently hinted at the drama’s ending episode.
Son stated, “The ending to the drama will be inherently ‘boss-like’.  I tried to show the growth between not only the wealthy, but all of the characters in the drama.  The final scene features an episode that I’m sure will put a smile on every viewer’s face.”
He continued, “I’d like to sincerely thank everyone for supporting ‘Protect the Boss’ up until now.  Personally, I feel happy to have been able to work with such great actors.”
‘Protect the Boss’ will wrap up its 18-episode series on September 28th.

On September 26th, Himart‘ released their newest CF featuring actor Yoon Sang Hyun and T-ara, who perform a fun dance together.
The CF is a parody of Nam Jin‘s “With You“, and the stars dress up in flashy gold outfits to match the retro sound of their song.
Filming for the CF was said to have taken longer than expected because the lightbulbs for the backdrop lights required frequent changing.  Still, they finished the filming right till the end with bright smiles, leading the staff with positive energy.

On September 26th, JYJs Junsu made a surprise appearance on MBC Game‘s ‘@Play‘, and played a game of Starcraft with gagman Kim Hyung In.
The star’s already known for his exceptional gaming skills, so fans weren’t surprised to see him come away with a final win after a 1:1 battle. The studio followed up by calling him on the phone for an interview. Junsu stated, “This is JYJ’s Junsu.  I’m actually quite shy greeting you like this.”

Son Dambi celebrates her 29th birthday with 15 lucky fans


On September 25th, singer Son Dambi held a cozy birthday party for her 29th birthday with 15 lucky fans at the ‘Keep Pet‘ cafe.
Over 100 fans signed up for the event, from which 15 were specially chosen to join Son Dambi for a personal celebration that allowed for deep conversations with her fans. Through question and answer sessions as well as fun little quizzes on her career, Son Dambi communicated her inner-most thoughts with her fans. She also transformed into a one-day barista and passed out drinks she made herself.
As she’s known for her love for animals, she decided to hold it at the ‘Keep Pet’ cafe.  All profits made that day were donated to an organization for the protection of animals.
Son Dambi stated, “I’m grateful that I’m able to spend my birthday at such a meaningful event.  I’ll continue to lead the way for the protection of animals.  More than anything, I’d like to thank my fans for coming all the way here to celebrate my birthday.”

MBLAQ’s Thunder invites Big Bang’s Seungri out for salmon


On September 27th, MBLAQs Thunder revealed a fatigued-looking selca of himself along with a special message to Big Bang‘s Seungri.
Through his Twitter, Thunder wrote, “Revealing my dark circles!  Seungri-ya~ let’s go eat salmon.”
Seungri is known for his panda-like dark circles, hence the mention in the tweet.  Some also believe that eating salmon will help lighten up your dark circles, but it seems Thunder needs sleep more than anything.  His dark circles especially stand out against his pale white skin and bleached hair.
Fans commented, “I heard that broccoli is better than salmon”, “Go catch some salmon with Seungri oppa one day”, and “You must be really tired lately.”

Kim Jang Hoon & Kim Heechul release MV for “Breakups Are So Typical of Me”


Before he left for the military, Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul collaborated with veteran artist Kim Jang Hoon for a song called “Breakups Are So Typical of Me“. After releasing the audio earlier, the full MV has finally come out!
It’s not flashy by any means, but it warms fans’ hearts to see these two big stars goof around in the studio as they brainstorm ideas.

Wonder Girls voted as Best Mashup Monday of 2011 on Billboard


Last month, we reported that Billboard was offering fans a unique opportunity via “Mashup Mondays”, where fans got to vote for a song their favorite artists would cover.
Well, it has just been revealed that the Wonder Girls‘ cover of B.o.B & Bruno Mars‘ “Nothin’ on you” was voted the best cover of 2011! The girls took a whopping 65% of all the votes and beat out Greyson Chance, Hanson, James Blunt, Grace Potter, and many others!
Congratulations to the girls on this noteworthy achievement!

Long legal battle between Hangeng & SM Entertainment comes to a close with mutual agreement

It’s just been revealed that Hangeng and SM Entertainment have finally settled on a mutual agreement, officially ending their long legal dispute.
It was recently reported that Hangeng had withdrawn his countersuit against SM’s appeal to the court decision that had judged in favor of Hangeng.
On September 27th, legal representatives of both Hangeng and SM released a statement saying, “Hangeng and SM have amicably settled on a mutual agreement, and the lawsuit was able to come to a close after Hangeng submitted his ‘Notice of Withdrawal of Appeal’.”
They continued, “For the time being, Hangeng will continue to be active in China, and plans regarding his activities in Korea have not yet been decided.”
They finally added, “Please understand that according to the settlement, we cannot release any more details about the case.”
Hangeng will reportedly continue his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, but it has not yet been revealed whether he will return as an active member of Super Junior.

SNSD unveils Sunny & Hyoyeon’s comeback photos for ‘The Boys’!


It’s barely been a day since SNSD‘s full comeback date was officially announced, yet fans are already clamoring over the return, fervently awaiting the latest teasers to be released. Just moments earlier, SM Entertainment unveiled two more teasers featuring Sunny and Hyoyeon!
Like Taeyeon‘s photo, Sunny and Hyoyeon’s photos both carry auras of elegance while stunning fans with the ladies’ new looks. Sunny wears a red hood and ruffled cream dress with heavy eyeliner and side-swept blonde hair. Hyoyeon sports a short blonde bob with flowers dramatically accenting her head, with unconventional make-up to match.
With these three releases, fans have been attempting to piece together what this track concept will be. Many speculated that there would be an underlying fairytale theme, as Taeyeon holds a red apple in her hand like Snow White and Sunny’s outfit alludes to the Red Riding Hood. Though not a fairytale character, many fans are already exclaiming that Hyoyeon’s piercing stare is reminiscent of the Parisian Amélie.
