Erika Sawajiri signs with Avex

Japanese actress Erika Sawajiri, 25, has announced her plans to return to the Japanese entertainment world.
The actress, who was vilified in the Japanese press for her outspoken attitude about the outdated facets of the Japanese entertainment system, is to attempt a comeback under her own talent management company in association with industry giant Avex Management.
Sawajiri added that she plans to concentrate on acting, she told the press on Monday, “I would like to get involved in various areas of entertainment, while keeping acting as my central focus. I plan to work hard to change my attitude so that I can be seen as an actress in Japan once again.”
